We are an intentionally inclusive community, and welcome families of all backgrounds, abilities and needs. We believe that religious exploration should be accessible to all, and are eager to work with families to make this a meaningful and fulfilling experience for everyone involved.
2025-26 Religious Exploration Classes
If nursery care is needed for you to attend prior to our securing staff, please let us know by emailing RevKaren@ccuu.org, and we will make every effort to support you.
Religious Exploration is offered each week. Young people in PreK through Grade 6 begin in worship and are sung out to class. Classes for Junior High and Senior High Youth meet during the worship service starting at 10 am.
- Picture Book UU (PreK - Grade 2): Using picture books and fun activities to teach young children about our faith.
- Flourish Together - How do we UU (Grades 3-6): Focusing on UU vlaues as well as some of the "big questions" that children wonder about.
- Our Whole Lives (OWL) (Grades 7 – 10) Sept14-Jan 11: Our Whole Lives (OWL) is the Unitarian Universalist comprehensive sexuality education curriculum for all stages of life. The class meets Sundays at 10:00. (Gr 7-8 visitors and those not registered for OWL will join the Flourish together class.)
- Compass Points (Grades 6-8) Jan 18-May 17: Compass Points is a Unitarian Universalist (UU) religious education program designed for young adolescents to explore their identities, beliefs, and UU faith.
- Senior High Youth Group (Grades 9-12) will meet on Sundays at 10 am ~ Senior High Youth Group (SHYG) offers a variety of activities, planned for youth by youth.
Our religious education program is a cooperative endeavor to nurture the spiritual growth of our young people. The vitality of our program depends upon everyone's support and assistance. Please check which class or event you can help with. We request parents volunteer at least 3-6x/year.
