2025-26 Religious Exploration Classes

Nursery: Countryside is preparing to offer nursery care on a regular basis during Sunday Morning worship. Please let us know if this is something you or your community would be interested in using. The nursery room has live sound from the sanctuary and is always available for your use. Yes, we would use Nursery care if it were available. No, we would not need Nursery Care.

If nursery care is needed for you to attend prior to our securing staff, please let us know by emailing RevKaren@ccuu.org, and we will make every effort to support you.

Religious Exploration is offered each week. Young people in PreK through Grade 6 begin in worship and are sung out to class. Classes for Junior High and Senior High Youth meet during the worship service starting at 10 am.

Picture Book UU (PreK - Grade 2): Using picture books and fun activities to teach young children about our faith.

Flourish Together - How do we UU (Grades 3-6): Focusing on UU vlaues as well as some of the "big questions" that children wonder about.

Our Whole Lives (OWL) (Grades 7 – 10) Sept14-Jan 11: Our Whole Lives (OWL) is the Unitarian Universalist comprehensive sexuality education curriculum for all stages of life. The class meets Sundays at 10:00. (Gr 7-8 visitors and those not registered for OWL will join the Flourish together class.)

Compass Points (Grades 6-8) Jan 18-May 17: Compass Points is a Unitarian Universalist (UU) religious education program designed for young adolescents to explore their identities, beliefs, and UU faith.

Senior High Youth Group (Grades 9-12) will meet on Sundays at 10 am ~ Senior High Youth Group (SHYG) offers a variety of activities, planned for youth by youth.

Volunteering

Our religious education program is a cooperative endeavor to nurture the spiritual growth of our young people. The vitality of our program depends upon everyone's support and assistance. Please check which class or event you can help with. We request parents volunteer at least 3-6x/year.

Communications Consent

As a part of our Religious Exploration Program, we take pictures and videos of children in action as they participate in classroom activities, field trips, intergenerational events and service learning projects, etc. Please check what uses of images of your children you are willing to consent to, if any.

Yes, I give consent for my child's photo to be taken during activities in our RE program, and to be used in print material such as bulletin boards, church newsletters, and brochures. (Names would not be posted.) Yes, I give consent for my child's photo, video image, and/or voice to be used in a video or slideshow that would be shown only during a worship or fellowship hall activity.
